Set up TeachingBooks for Next School Year

Use summer to ensure that you're not missing out on any of the new updates to TeachingBooks. Below are actions to complete this summer for back-to-school success with TeachingBooks.

1. Confirm that TeachingBooks is optimally set up for your technology (SSO, LMS, library catalog, etc.)
2. Integrate TeachingBooks and Sora
3. Make TeachingBooks automatically searchable in Google
4. Get resources for your reading lists (required reading, approved novel lists, reading challenges, HQIM programs, etc.)

Promoting TeachingBooks with all Patrons

Spread the word about TeachingBooks this summer as you share the joy of reading! Beyond the benefits to your library staff, consider the audiences in your community that might be able to use TeachingBooks to enrich their work. Share access information with educators, student teachers, library science graduate students, homeschooling families, and any other patrons who work with children's and young adult books.

• Find Steps to Optimize Your License with technology integrations, widgets, and sharing tools to make access seamless.
• Enrich summer reading programs with resources and activities.
• Promote reading and empower each reader to discover books that match their interest with Meet-the-Author Recordings and Reader's Advisory.
